David Grimes, MD, is one of a small number of U.S. physicians Board-certified in both obstetrics/gynecology and preventive medicine. He has participated in some of the largest clinical trials of IUDs over the past three decades, and he has authored numerous Cochrane systematic reviews of IUDs. He currently serves as Clinical Professor, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine, and Vice President of Biomedical Affairs at Family Health International in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina.
